RECAP:  A hillbilly and his invisible dog play tricks on customers waiting in the queue line outside the Final Resting Place.  A skunk gets in on the act too before it’s time to actually set foot inside The Haunted Junkyard.

A horn-honking goon running out of a refrigerator provides an initial startle as down-home music accompanies entrance into an old building filled with bloody body parts that hides a drop-panel jump scare courtesy of a screaming ghoul!  Exploration continues through the back of a deserted bus, and into an old dilapidated shanty that houses the deplorable kitchen of a bloody butcher that's busy chopping off the heads of pigs and creating a bone yard dump!  A second horn-honking encounter arises down a dark corridor at the hands of a skeleton-masked fiend as sirens sound, headlights flash off and on, and flames erupt from the engine of a junked car.  Another shack and bus set the stage for an assault by Giggles the clown, who comes sliding across the hood of a car for an up-close-and-personal conflict!

A snorting, cannibalistic monster laughs wickedly while devouring the remains of his last guest as firecrackers explode from underneath an old car in advance of an all-out attack by a pair of outlaws, one shooting sparks off a circular saw as he promises, "I'm going to cut your legs off!"  His cohort violently slams a large machete on the ground in another eruption of sparks prior to escape into a casket-containing mausoleum that reeks with the stench of rotting corpses!  Heading back outside stirs up an encore skirmish with the murderous, aforementioned machete swinging killer boasting, "I'm gonna cut you up" then put your body into one of those coffins!"

Additional encounters stem from run-ins with an adversary making human dolls, a pretty bird, and a strange creature wanting to chop off your toes.  Scenes include a green and red laser-lit swamp inhabited by marsh monsters, a junk pile of crashed airliners, a forest of skeletons hanging on crosses, and a battle with a treacherous fiend clutching onto a decapitated head with one hand and a chainsaw with the other!  The evil-minded villain corners trespassers within a bus that’s lying on its side trapping them inside, which enables a pig-faced assassin to join the onslaught from the front!  Still to come is an unwanted appointment with a diabolical dentist who's taken up residence in the back of an old ambulance holding a drill, and wanting to “Grind down all your teeth till nothing is left!”  Exiting reignites the wrath of the previously mentioned, oinked off oinker who joins forces with another hostile bruiser that comes flying across the hood of another wrecked car for a relentless, double team, hell-bent chainsaw chase-out of The Final Resting Place Haunted Junkyard!

ANALYSIS:  The Final Resting Place appropriately calls attention to The Haunted Junkyard theme by utilizing flashing headlights, honking horns, hoods and trunks that open and close on their own, etc to create distractions and compliment décor.  Sounds are loud and complimentary throughout with many characters aggressively making use of a variety of weapons to amplify the impact of their scares.  Detailing continues to be on the upswing with the inclusion of silicone bodies in the “toe” scene making it more realistic, and the arrival of actual airplanes among the junked cars and trucks!  Sirens and fire are also appreciated.  Standout performers include the vicious chainsaw assailant and his pig-faced cohort; fiends jumping off cars; spark shooting, weapon threatening outlaws before and after the mausoleum; large, snorting foe eating human remains, and the queue line entertainers!  Actors as a whole all hit their marks and were well-hidden throughout making scares that much more powerful!  Multiple chainsaw finish was the most aggressive we've seen all year!

Two smaller secondary attractions can be enjoyed for an additional $6 each, or as part of a $25 combo ticket with the main event.  Grandma Millie's is a short-lived haunted house that's decorated with spider webs and body bags; houses a few animated surprises; and sets the stage for Grandma herself!   (3½ minutes, 4 actors)

Stir Crazy begins with a pick-a-door segment that accesses a maze that’s complimented by darkness, flickering lights, honking horns, bloody sheets, and some dead end passages.  (4 minutes, 2 actors)

Secondary attractions are not rated.  Grab the Combo Ticket and have a great night of fright!
