RECAP:  The Chainer’s endeavor begins along a winding path that embarks upon exploration of an isolated field marked with, "No Trespassing" warning signs, so make no mistake about it - you're entering at your own risk!  A frightening, desolate cemetery invites early admission to the home of ghastly ghosts and corpses seen rising out of their graves creating an immediate surprise before continuing onto a torture chamber; dilapidated shanties that unleash a variety of pneumatic surprises; The R. Worms and U. Bones Funeral Home" where a twisted mortician consumes human meat and night crawlers, and "Cousins" Funeral Flowers occupied by a discontented florist!

A fenced enclosure explodes with lights and firecrackers as the course makes its way through a wooden maze discovering a forsaken hostage trapped inside a cage screaming, "Help get me out of here!" Jester searches for her puppy, Nibbles as advancement dodges barrels that come crashing down while others mysteriously rock back and forth, even popping off their lids as sirens blare and flashing lights illuminate the surroundings!  Avoidance soon uncovers a mechanical spook waving a green lantern whispering, "I will escort you to the shadows of the night!"  Skeletons jump out of the forest and spring forth from run-down shacks as the path pushes deeper into the woods that become littered with animal cadavers as progression riles a chained ghoul that suddenly rears forward rattling his iron restraints in a desperate attempt to break free from his captivity!

Thomas Toy Store houses an animatronic monster as navigation through a corn field summons the attack of a killer scarecrow that unexpectedly jumps off a cross!  The undead growl and close in from all sides enabling a pair of murderous chainsaw maniacs to erupt onto the scene for a fast-paced chase out all the way back to the parking lot of Chainer’s Field of Screams.

ANALYSIS:  Eerily lit throughout, Chainer's annual haunted trail takes advantage of the isolated outdoors to set an appropriate mood for their scares.  Favorite scenes include the rocking, toppling barrels complimented by wailing sirens and emergency lights; the animated spook beckoning with his green lantern; and the animated skeletons.  Best characters are the chainsaw goons.  Mortician, Jester, desperate hostage, chained ghoul, and scarecrow are likewise memorable.

This non-profit attraction delivers lots of startles at the affordable price of only $10!  This year's event serves as a fundraiser benefiting the fight against cancer and the betterment of the local Community!  It’s conveniently located just off I-75 at exit 102, and ample parking is available just behind the In-Between Tavern!  If you're in the area, support their cause by stopping by for some enjoyable Halloween entertainment!
