RECAP:  Billy Bob and his invisible dog have a few tricks up their sleeves to pull on unsuspecting guests waiting to enter The Final Resting Place.  Honking horns welcome visitors into The Haunted Junkyard, where trunk lids of neighboring vehicles mysteriously open and close on their own, and the sound of hillbilly music is heard escorting the path into an old, run-down shack.  Drop panels come crashing down enabling some immediate jump scares from screaming ghouls that immediately focus their attention on passersby.  The course continues through a few buses and several more shanties hiding a variety of monsters springing unseen attacks, then bends its way into a deplorable kitchen that’s occupied by a bloody butcher, who throws a pig’s head out into the route.  Sparks fly, headlights flash and blink off and on, and flames burst forth from the exhaust of powerful engines as the winding trail makes its way to The Circus of Mad Clowns that finds its jesters blasting loud horns, and unleashing assaults from every direction imaginable.  Short-circuiting electricity chaparones advancement beyond a wild fiend relentlessly pounding on metal road signs that decorate surrounding walls summoning more creatures that leap into action, sliding across the hoods of junked cars, jumping on their rooves, and so on combining for an all-out ambush!

Escape into a nearby mausoleum unearths the stench of a rotting corpse before heading back outdoors riles the fury of a discontented nemesis named "Bubba" armed with a murderous machete!  Uniting with his cohort, "Wild Boys Granddaddy" swinging a baseball bat, the pair joins forces threatening to kill and maim any and all trespassers, and readily making their evil intentions known by slamming their weapons up against barrels, walls, and practically anything else they can lay their hands on or within their reach!

Still to come is an encounter with a giant bird; a red, laser-lit passage; Bone Yard; camper maze; a chainsaw-packing, homicidal maniac; and a skeleton-faced madman barking, "Fresh Meat!" giving chase into the back of a Chester County Fire Department ambulance staffed by a bloody nurse asking if anyone wants to pet her new friend - a decapitated head!   Exiting through the passenger door leads into a woodshed filled with chainsaws that’s home to a pig-faced goon that quickly bands together with a number of other like-minded villains for a relentless chainsaw chase-out of The Final Resting Place Haunted Junkyard!

ANALYSIS:  The Final Resting Place focuses attention on its theme by featuring flashing headlights, honking horns, the hoods and trunks of junked cars opening and closing on their own, etc.  Sounds are loud and complimentary practically throughout.  Smells are scattered about the attraction as well, and are particularly noticeable in the coffin room.  Many characters aggressively utilize weapons to amplify the impact of their scares.  Standout actors include: Bubba, Wild Boys Granddaddy, Skeleton-masked fiend, and Billy Bob with his invisible peeing dog in the queue line!  Butcher with pig head, fiends jumping off cars, and first chainsaw fanatic giving a merciless pursuit are likewise memorable.

Now in its 10th season, The Junkyard continues to showcase quality acting to deliver seasonal scares inside a realistic environment.  Concessions are also available, and parking is free.

The site also offers two smaller secondary attractions that can be enjoyed for an additional $6 each, or as part of a $25 combo ticket with the main event.  Grandma Millie’s tours various rooms of a short haunted house that’s decorated with spider webs and body bags, and contains a few animated surprises.  (3½ minutes, 4 actors)  Stir Crazy is a maze that begins with a pick-a-door segment and is complimented by darkness, flickering lights, honking horns, and some dead end passages.  (4 minutes, 3 actors)

Secondary attractions are not rated.
