RECAP: The adventure begins along a winding path that embarks upon exploration of the spooky field. “No Trespassing” signs guard the entrance making it readily apparent that you’re entering at your own risk! Screams of “Fresh Meat” ring out as the isolated journey makes its way across a wooden bridge while navigating beyond a desolate fishing lake that soon gives rise to the attack of a hungry, carnivorous alligator! A howling werewolf; rabid, red-eyed dog; and “Hairy Knuckles,” a killer gorilla, are among the creatures of the night inhabiting the barren forest that also produces skirmishes with The Grim Reaper and even the notorious slasher, Michael Myers!
Scenes include a doll house that’s home to bloody Jennifer & Mary ripping the heads off their dollies, a “Dirty Dent” Pumpkin Patch, and a chance encounter with the King of Rock and Roll himself, Elvis Presley, anxious to “cut some new hits” with a razor-sharp combination baseball bat and album he’s recklessly swinging! From there, it’s onto confrontations with a wickedly laughing ghoul that silences a screaming girl by running her through with a saw blade, then a fumbling, Professor Hinkle-like magician, whose failure to pull a rabbit out of his hat turns into a hare-raising surprise!
A visit to the big-top circus tent is complicated by killer clowns who have taken over a dark maze, the escape from which leads past a pumpkin-faced tree into an unexpected chainsaw chase-out of Chainer’s Field of Screams!
ANALYSIS: Chainer’s presents a fun, seasonal walk-through of their haunted woods complimented by some unique and timely scares. Notable characters include Ghoul that quiets screaming girl, chainsaw goons, magician, and Elvis, while memorable frights come courtesy of werewolf, gorilla, and gator. An appropriate mood is set by the secluded, eerily-lit trail, which creates a perfect "haunted" environment!
