RECAP: Fresh off record-setting attendance last year, 2022 brings another horrifying season at All Hallows’ Eve. The beast from the church promises that he’s the first of many terrors that will rise to consume the old west town of Bravado! Foretold prophecies all appear to be coming true, as the descent to Hell has begun!
The isolated trail consists of an ominous laboratory staffed by an immoral scientist-like doctor reanimating corpses, “The Boothill Maze” of failed abominations, a mysterious room of dolls, and “Torture Town,” where red bracelet wearers are taken captive, thrown onto tables, shackled, chained, given "bloodbaths" and doused in "blood" and mud, forced to crawl, do push-ups, oink like a pig, separated from their groups, taken to the gallows, imprisoned in jail cells, mandated to eat God knows what, and even buried alive! This scenario of potential exploitation and mistreatment is repeated throughout the adventure.
A red-caped ghoul stalks the vicinity of a wooden teepee searching for victims and hungry cannibals occupy an old shack planning their next meal, while The Insane Asylum & Morgue are self-explanatory, the latter of which witnesses bodies being scorched and incinerated in a flaming crematorium, and a ruthless pathologist performing a hopeless autopsy! A run-in with a possessed, bent-over-backwards, crawling girl named Grim and her cohorts leads to tragic consequences for red bracelet wearers, while others stand helplessly by to share and endure their torment!
Legend has it that a witch cast a spell over the land, and her curse summons the dead to rise as zombies from their buried coffins in a spooky cemetery en route to The “First Church of Bravado,” where misguided nuns force parishioners to kneel before a demonic Prophet conducting a most unrighteous ritual! Window shutters begin to open and violently slam shut as the unholy ceremony begins, and blood rains down from the heavens above as season four, “The Descent” comes to a climactic conclusion at All Hallows’ Eve - Terror Town! ANALYSIS: This is a most unique attraction to say the least! Nothing else brands itself in the same category, and comparisons can’t be made because this version of “extreme” isn’t matched anywhere else! 2022 is their best effort to date. Detailing has been upgraded again this season making for a better than ever experience. Most memorable characters include: cannibalistic family, Torture Town rowdies, witch with gun shooting at zombies rising out of their graves, doctor, pathologist, backwards crawling “Grim,” and the Best Actor of the night goes to the Priest in the Church! Improvements could be made in the soundtrack department, and there's no viewing area for Basic Ticket purchasers to observe the goings on inside the church, which is the haunt's best scare.
The event is designed as a hands-on, immersive attraction, thus the best way to enjoy all the horror-stricken scares is to upgrade to their Horror (Gold bracelet) or Ultimate Horror (Red bracelet) passes. Basic admission is for those not wanting to get dirty or become a participant in any of the scares. Gold customers will be subject to head to toe blood and mud, although they won’t be intentionally touched, while Red bracelet customers can expect physical contact in addition to all the gore. Beware! Bracelet wearers may be accosted, tormented, and persecuted anywhere on the grounds!
The atmosphere at All Hallows’ Eve is most unique to say the least. It all takes place in the midst of a 19th century Old West town. In addition to the haunted trail, there’s food, drinks, games, live music, karaoke, saloons, shopping from a variety of vendors, and a theater that plays horror movies all night long! Admission includes access to all of the above, in addition to the firing of their cannon, Gatling gun, and even a witch hanging! Cost has increased by $5 this year, but it’s still a bargain by today’s standards considering most haunts are over in 10 or 15 minutes, but you can spend an entire evening exploring everything this venue has to offer!
This review rates the attraction based on the red bracelet experience. Terror Town is recommended for ages 16 and up!
Please Note: Management advises wearing old clothes or even a poncho as you may get wet, dirty, muddy, “bloody,” or even worse at this attraction if participating in the Gold or Red Bracelet options.
